DAY 17---CROSSING THE PACIFIC (DAY 3)

This is our position at 1pm today.  The ocean is a bit rougher today but still not bad.  Cloudy and 75 degrees.

YESTERDAY EVENING

Paul, our cruise director, leading the interdenominational church service at 5:30 in the card room.  It was an overflow crowd.
This is Putu who delivered some of our room service dinner.  Rebecca had pasta and I had pizza.  Both hot and good.
This is Nine (interesting name) another room service guy.
Well, our Cowboys lost to the 49ers--19 to 12.  Wish the Cowboys had a good quarterback and kicker.  After the game I went down and Ronnalyn, Mariner Lounge bartender, made my Happy Happy.  I took it to the Horizon Lounge for the Liar's Club.  The lounge was pretty full already but I joined Jimbo and Mary Ann Todd.  We were team #1 when asked who the 16 teams believed was not lying.
The three panel members were Terry Bishop, Nicole, and Nunzio.  Terry is a lecturer/entertainer.  Nicole is our social hostess.  Nunzio is a world cruise host along with his wife Sienna.  Nunzio is a very funny guy.
Also watching was on right:  Isadora (beverage mgr), Sienna, and Nino (F&B Director).
This was one of the words the panel gave their definitions of.
The lounge was full.
Nunzio, Nicole, and Terry after the show.  They were all hilarious.

TODAY

As I mentioned yesterday Easter Island is requiring everyone on the ship to be antigen tested for covid before we arrive there.  So that is taking place between 8 and 11am in the Horizon Lounge.  We went down at 9am but the lines were too long so went back to the suite.
We went back down an hour later.  This is Step 1.  Check in and they put tape with our names on the back of our hands.
This is the line for Step 2.  This is a great covid spreading thing if someone does have it.
We can finally see the other end of the line.

It took us 30 minutes to reach Step 3.  Now back in our suite.  Not sure when we will get the results of our tests.
I did my 40 minute walk out here on the deck 6 promenade. It is also the lifeboat deck.
The crew use these life rafts in an emergency.
I assume we are negative as it is 3pm and not got a call from medical.  The internet is really bad today so I am going to try to publish this.  We have been invited to join Eddie and Lyn Zito this evening for cocktails and dinner.  Marcia will also be joining them.

Tomorrow will be another day at sea.  Hope the internet will be better.
