OOPS! Forgot to take photo of our position at noon. So this is our position at 4pm as we head for Taiwan. It is now 72 degrees under sunny skies with a 25 knot wind. So far the seas are fairly smooth.
LAST EVENING
Dominic had a table for us in Prime 7 but Rebecca decided she rather dine in Compass Rose. We started with black mussles in white wine, shallots, garlic, and tomatoes. Rebecca had one order but I had two big orders. Yummy!!Sorry photo out of order but for dessert I had this chocolate ice cream.
I had the fish & chips.
Video on side of one of the skyscrapers.Tug helping as we departed the dock.
Now I am having trouble backing up my camera photos. This is important as this needs to be done before I can put them on the blog. I asked Kushal, internet mgr, for help but no luck. I hope this corrects itself soon.
Samatha, our safari travel agent in Cape Town, emailed our final documents for the May 2nd safari. This morning I went down and printed it all off. Must have been 50 pages. This afternoon I have been reading and checking it all. Thay, Executive Concierge, had asked me give him a list of all those going with us, name of the lodge, and contact numbers. I put all that info on a Word document this afternoon and printed it off for him.
We will be getting ready for dinner early as our interdenominational church service will be a little earlier at 5:15. At 6pm is the Farwell Reception in the theater. This segment will end in Taipei on Tuesday (our time). So there will be another Krew Kapers (crew show) at the reception.
We have invited two of the production cast members to dine with us in Compass Rose at 7:00. Cameron Vance is one of the singers and graduated from TCU in Ft Worth. Paige Kosik is a singer/dancer from Canada.
Tonight's menu. Entertainer in the theater at 9:30 is the pianist again. Probably not going.
During the Captain's noon PA he said we will be running into some rough weather around 10pm. Winds to be 50 knots and seas 12 foot swells. All outer decks will be closed. This may cause a problem with docking in Hualien on Taiwan tomorrow morning. He said it will be a decision after arriving offshore tomorrow. We have never been to this port. The weather may affect our internet too.
