Another warm day here. Sunny and 90 degrees.
LAST EVENING
I had the spaghetti to start with.
Rebecca had the wedge salad with bacon dressing.
We both had turkey for our entrees.
I asked for tasters of a couple other entrees: beef Penang Malaysian style short ribs and a piece of the fresh barramundi filet. The beef was overcooked and dry but the fish was good.
They called this the almond cake with chocolate mousse but it was kind of like chocolate cake. It was good but I just had a couple bites.
TODAY
My usual Sunday caviar and lots of it!!
This is a sad day for us but very happy one for Dara. She is leaving the ship at 2pm and heading to the airport for her 8pm flight home to the Philippines for vacation. She flies to Singapore then on to Manila so will be a long night and day tomorrow. All the restaurant crew had to be up at 4am this morning due to the 5:45 tours going off the ship. So this will REALLY be a long trip for her. Dara was our waitress in Compass Rose for our dinners there for the past 77 nights. She is a fantastic and hard working young lady. We love her to death and will certainly miss her. She is very excited as she has 3 year old twins at home and anxious to be with them. Safe travels, Dara!!!
After our treadmill time and cooling off, we went shopping in the cruise terminal. I showed you photos of it in yesterday's post. We did not find anything we had to have so back to the ship for lunch in La Veranda. The ship is sailing again today at 5pm for Ko Samui, Thailand. We should be anchored there by 9am and I have a cooking tour that departs as soon a the ship is cleared by the local authorities.
Another relaxing afternoon in the suite. At 5:30 we will be attending the interdenominational church service.
This is tonight's Compass Rose menu. The show tonight is featuring Steve Marshall, a magic, comedy, and mind reader act at 9:30 in the theater.
