DAY 50---CRUISING IN THE INDIAN OCEAN

Our position at noon Sunday (still Saturday in US) is still cruising in the Indian Ocean.  Still experiencing 30 knot winds but we are sailing into the wind so the apparent wind up on deck is 46 knots.  Rocking and rolling big time last night and this morning with the 10 foot swells.  Overcast but sun is trying to break through now at noon.  Pool deck and sports deck still closed.  It's 84 degrees today.

LAST EVENING

Captain Aivo introducing the Krew Kapers show (crew show) at 6pm.
They did a new number to start the show.
Chris from the deck department had a very nice voice.
"Splish Splash"--This number is in every show on every ship.
Ella, a waitress, is an incredible belly dance.
"Cruise People" number is also in every show.
She had a great voice also.
Of course, Elvis was in the house!  He goes by the name Elvis and is a bartender.

                                                               Hip Hop dance number.
                                                              "Y-M-C-A" number.
At end of the show officers and some of the crew from all departments come to theater.
After the show the Mariner Lounge was hopping.  Five bartenders making drinks as people pass by on the way to dinner in Compass Rose.
Murphy presenting the special wine I had ordered.

                                                         Rebecca had this lobster bisque
I started with is double portion of foie gras.
I had the roasted mushroom soup.  Delicious!
We both enjoyed the beef Wellington.
Yummy!!  Pecan pie cheesecake with ice cream.

Another great show with "The Diamonds".  There song choices again were perfect for this older audience.  Choreography was amazing.  We enjoyed the show from the left side front row.

TODAY

Well, it took the Captain 50 days to find some rough seas.  We are rocking and rolling today.  We will not try to do treadmill time today.  Not sure we could stay on them.

It's Sunday here so I went down to Compass Rose for this caviar.  Large portion!  I also had eggs benedict, a piece of sausage, and piece of wheat toast.  Rebecca always has room service for breakfast.
We moved our clocks back another hour last night.  So now when it is 9am on Sunday here, it is 7pm Saturday in Dallas.  We are now on Bali time for our arrival there tomorrow morning.
We are both getting much needed haircuts this afternoon.  Rebecca at 3pm and me at 4:15.  We brought photos of our cuts so show him.
This was my lunch.  I actually had two of the leek tart with gruyere cheese and a beef empanada.
During the Captain's noon PA update, he said we would be having a change to our itinerary.  Now we will not be calling on Okinawa.  Instead we will be going to Hong Kong on March 11th.  He also said there was a 6.5 earthquake on Papua New Guinea where we were 8 days ago.  He also said the ocean should be calming down some this evening.
Here is tonight's Compass Rose menu.  Not sure yet what we will be ordering.  As usual on the last night of a segment there is no show in the theater.  As always there will be a "Beatles Dance Party" in the Horizon Lounge at 9:45 with some of the production singers singing Beatles tunes while people dance.
                                                                   Ruby cut both of us.

We are both satisfied with our hair cuts.
Now it's time for the interdenominational church service as today is the first Sunday of Lent.  That followed by communion in the Mariner Lounge before dinner.
