DAY 102---SAILING IN THE ARABIAN SEA

                                     

Our position at 1:00pm today.  About to fall the bottom map so top one more about where we're going.  It is mostly sunny and 84 degrees this afternoon.  Still smooth sailing. 

LAST NIGHT

Oksana was in the Mariner Lounge tending bar when we arrived.  She had been up in the pool bar for since Australia.  We had her on a previous cruise but not sure when. Lovely lady and good bartender.

                                     Arcy is new to Regent and this cruise.  Delightful lady.

This is a new appetizer--lobster & mushroom vol au vent.  Ok, not sure what the vol au vent was but this was great.

I ordered the chicken ala kiev but did not like it so sent it back and got this farfalle pasta with tomatoes, & shrimp.  Rebecca had this as her original entree. 

               Malva pudding with butter pecan ice cream for dessert.  I just ate half of it.

                               Ollie's show was pretty good.  I lasted until the last number.

TODAY

        We got a letter this morning asking for our International Vaccination Cards (yellow cards) showing that we had yellow fever vaccinations.  This is for our Africa ports of call.  So I ran them down to Reception.

        We hit the treadmills then got cleaned up for the day.  At 11am we went to the theater to listen to Bea's (Cruise Consultant) future cruise presentation.  She announced some new 2024 & 2025 Grand Cruises.

           Lunch in Compass Rose.  I just ate half of this burger.  It was good but got to cut back!!

        Rebecca is streaming her "Young & Restless" soap after lunch and I am working on this post.  Then we watched a movie on tv, "Pretty Woman".  Of course we have seen it but wanted to watch it again.  Love the movie.

        After that I want to watch Terry Bishop's lecture about Lawrence of Arabia which was recorded earlier this afternoon.

       During the Captain's noon update PA he said there is some respiratory and stomach illnesses on the ship so asked we be sure to wash our hands often.

        We have decided to have our cocktail hour in the suite this evening.  I will have some jalapeno balls and pigs delivered by room service around 5:30.  Dinner this evening will be in Compass Rose.

This is tonight's menu but we have made a special request for veal piccata with creamy polenta.

        Before tonight's show in the theater Captain Abhi will introduce the senior officers on stage.  The show tonight is featuring Nik Page.  He is a singer who has appeared in the West End in London.  It should be a very good show so count us in.

        We are to be docked by 8am tomorrow in Salalah, Oman.
