DAY 92---CRUISING IN THE LACCADIVE SEA

         

We still have 300nm to go before arriving at Goa, India, tomorrow morning at 8:00.  Still smooth sailing but it is overcast with some rain this morning.  Afternoon temperature is 84 degrees.

TODAY

        What would Sunday be without my caviar and egg benedict.  I had to go up to La Veranda today to have it as there will be a big Easter Sunday brunch in Compass Rose from 10am to 1pm.  The Easter church service is at 9:15 this morning so we will do our workout after it.

        Well, it was Easter afternoon last year when we were on the 2022 world cruise that I tested positive for covid and was isolated for 10 days.  Luckily, I basically had no symptoms.

I took some photos of the Easter brunch just before it opened.  Can't see it but the ice carving says "Happy Easter" and is used for the caviar.

I put a photo under the Happy Easter with the Taj Mahal at the top of the display.  I mentioned it to Massimo, the General Manager, yesterday evening and wondered what it had to do with Easter.  Well, it has been replaced with a bunny now.  I think the Taj Mahal was put there because we are heading to India now.

        After our Easter worship service this morning we watched "Gone With The Wind", Rebecca's favorite movie.  We'll watch this morning's lectures that were taped on our tv this afternoon.  We received a letter which at lunch stating that everyone who will be touring in either Goa or Mumbai or both will have to do a face-to-face immigration inspection tomorrow morning when we arrive in Goa.  Rebecca won't have to as she is not getting off in either of these India ports.  I do not have a tour in Goa but do in Mumbai.

        There is a pre-dinner cabaret show by the production cast singers at 6:15 in the Horizon Lounge.  Normally we would go but not going with covid still out there.  Cocktail hour in our suite again this evening with dinner in Compass Rose to follow.  Not going to the comedian's show at 9:30.

        We want to wish you all a very Happy Easter as yours is just beginning as ours is coming to an end.

        The ship is showing the final round live on tv at 11:30pm to 4:30am.  I'll be asleep!!
