Our position at noon is 350 miles off the coast of Somalia. During Captain Abhi's noon update PA he mentioned the Somalia pirates in years past but says they have been quite since covid hit. He said the bridge has to make position reports every so often so the traffic monitors know we have not been hijacked. It is another mostly sunny day and 85 degrees. Smooth sailing again today.
The world's 5 oceans cover more than 70% of the Earth's surface. As you can see we are in the Indian Ocean. The others are: Atlantic, Pacific, Southern (Antarctic), and Arctic.
LAST EVENING
I took a photo of how we liked our parmesan and had it sent to the Compass Rose chef. This is the first chicken parmesan he sent out. Not even close to what the photo looked like so sent it back. We also asked for sides of spaghetti marinara but it came out just spaghetti with no sauce. Sent it back too.
The second try was perfect but the spaghetti was still was without any sauce so sent it back. Third time was ok but spaghetti not cooked. By then we were not hungry.Apple tart
We lasted through Ollie Mulkeen's whole show. It was pretty good.
TODAY
Rebecca took another break from the treadmill this morning. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill then went out on deck 6 promenade. I only lasted 15 minutes as it was too hot out there.
At noon they were having a Philippino lunch at the pool grill. I ate in La Veranda however.
This afternoon we watched the movie, "Crazy Stupid Love". Cute movie. Then I watched Terry Bishop's morning lecture, "Dominance of the Indian Ocean". Following that I watched Bill Toone's lecture, "Forest Explorations in Papua New Guinea".
We will again have our happy hour in the suite as have ordered canapes to be delivered at 5:30. Dinner will be in Compass Rose again this evening.
We will be having the pan fried veal liver. It's one of our favorites. We have also requested some fried calamari for our appetizer also. Tonight's show is Nik Page's second and last show. As you may recall my comment about his first show was that he is the best male singer we have ever heard on a cruise ship. You can bet we will be on the front row again.
Tomorrow will be another sea day.
